Publisher Function App broken after recent releases

Are there any plans to upgrade the provided function app used as an alternative route for publishing? The function app is described at this link : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/api-management/developer-portal-alternative-processes-self-host

With recent releases that upgraded node and switched to ARM auth, the one on the repo no longer works and would require customization.
