Error: Estimated actuals must be selected to use auto-dampening

Hi, I'm getting the error "Estimated actuals must be selected to use auto-dampening" when trying to save the configuration after dampening is selected. However, the actual PV Generation and Export feeds are selected correctly:

Is this a bug or have I missed something?

Have estimated actuals been selected to use auto-dampening? This is required. This uses additional API call per day to get them (or calls, depending on set-up). Theory of operation describes it.

Can't tell whether you have. Zero context, zero additional information than you've provided. Zero logs. This feels like looking through a slit and being expected to answer your issue.

With ~30,000 downloads of v4.5.2 I can guarantee this is not a bug in the code.

Can reproduce. By not selecting Estimated actuals updated at midnight, which is required for integrated automated dampening to function. It needs to reference actual production against an estimate of production, so it needs estimated actuals.

If the events leading up to this (likely quite correct) error showing up are different, or there is somehow something misleading in the documentation (theory of operation), or the options flow (Auto-dampen (requires estimated actuals...) then feel free to re-open. Of course, if you have selected to acquire estimated actuals and this error still shows up then I want to know about it, contextualised by a comprehensive bug report, per the templated ask.

(My answer gives a sneak peak at a v4.5.3 options flow dialogue, hence it looking different. The code paths you are hitting in v4.5.2 are the same in v4.5.next.
