conflict between compilers and openmp during installation

I followed the instruction to install warpx in windows with anaconda, but when it comes to openmp support, there is always an error as follow:

I found that the version of clang changed to 5.0.0 after I activated the environment as instruction(which was 17.0.1 before), I don't know if it has any connection with this error. Besides, I tried to update clang after activating the environment, but nothing worked.

Thank you for the report! Can you share more details how you created the env?

Conda is sometimes a bit unstable if one updates an environment. if you delete your current env and re-create it like this?

Thanks for your reply, I re-created many times but it didn't work. I now switched to macOS and it can work now.
