Error when using version 20260319.2 for Max 2024

When installing 20260319.2 for Max 2024, I get a .NET error when starting Max

File name: 'SharpDX.Mathematics, Version=3.1.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b4dcf0f35e5521f1'

It still happens on 20260423.4 which was just released.

does the file "SharpDX.Mathematics.dll" exist in your <3dsMaxRoot>\Bin\assemblies folder ?
It almost sounds as if it isn't there or is damaged
Did you use the Installer to completley uninstall adn then reinstall the 3ds Max 2024 version ?

Yes, all the files are in the Bin\assemblies folder. I already had an old version installed, which I just overwrote.

I downloaded the Max_2024.zip, opened the properties for the file and unblocked it.
Extracted all the files to a temporary folder and then copy pasted them into the assemblies folder.

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'SharpDX.Mathematics, Version=3.1.1.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b4dcf0f35e5521f1' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

If I install the old version, it works fine. Sadly, I can't tell which version exactly. The installer is from 2023-09-03.

I did some more testing, if I install the newest version on a colleagues computer, it works fine without any errors, so clearly it is a problem on my system. No clue what the issue is though.

I've tried installing any missing updates for 2024. Reinstalled max, reinstalled the C++ Redistributable

The only thing I feel I have left to try, is to either perform a clean reinstall of Max or format my PC. Both solutions I'm a bit hesitant to do.
