Description
Hello
There are SIP providers that only can be reached over certain networks:
- Deutsche Telekom: only from Deutsche Telekom networks (they say because only then they can assure the needed QoS level). If registering with a general name + password, the Internet connection is used for authorization, so, in this case it's even more limited.
- My router (AVM Fritz!Box) can play SIP provider which is only available from my internal LAN (can be made available from the Internet but I don't like this because no encryption is supported).
I'd like to use my router as SIP provider so that I can use my mobile phone as "landline telephone" when at home. If I'm not at home, I don't care that there's no landline phone available.
As my router's SIP server is only reachable from my internal network, I'd like to tell linphone to only try to connect to that sip account when my phone is connected to a certain WiFi network (and to talk to that SIP server only via that network).
When not connected to this WiFi network, I don't expect any SIP stuff happening, so, linphone could enter a "ultra low power state" where it only monitors WiFi network changes but no SIP communication happens.
A more general idea would be to not only allow 1 WiFi network per SIP account but several.
