Is it possible to add an option to not automatically create a desktop icon when an update is installed?

I have a cleared out desktop and I'll routinely have a new SoundSwitch shortcut after an update, it's basically the only way I know the application has auto-updated, but it would be great if there was an option to not create a desktop icon!

I've created an issue for it. I agree, on updating, it shouldn't create a new desktop icon.

Last Beta. How can i disable the Micro banner "Microphone off" I disable my mic on headset, physically. And I don't want to see the banner all day!

Thank you very much for this amazing tool. It got everything I wanted.
One request for quality of life: I'd like to select which sound plays as the notification sound (Settings > Notifciation > Sound Notification).
