Most modern image organizers and viewers (e.g GThumb) have a "Navigator" overlay that displays when an image is zoomed in. The "Navigator" shows a thumbnail view of the entire image, with a rectangle displaying the zoomed-in area. Clicking and dragging the rectangle allows the user to quickly scan around the image, to e.g check for dust or unsharpness.
Adding this to Geeqie would be highly useful. Clicking and dragging to navigate a 60MP+ image zoomed in to 100% is not very efficient.
