[Bug] Installer hangs up trying to kill discord

Describe the Bug

Context

• windows 10
• BetterDiscord 1.12.7 (fresh install, never used before)
• Latest official discord client

Problem:

Every time I run the installer it gets hung up trying to kill discord and never proceeds further (see install log below). This happens with or without any discord processes running. When discord was running I tried manually killing it but the result was the same.

Expected Behavior

I expect to run the installer and have it successfully complete the installation.

Steps To Reproduce

1. On windows 10 latest available update, download BetterDiscord 1.12.7 and run the installer.
2. Wait.

I realize I did not mention this, but I did open discord and confirm that the install was not successful - that is, the BetterDiscord section in settings is not present.

This is the wrong repo for issues with the installer.

By that point the install should be complete, is likely just windows being shitty and failing to terminate the process properly. Have a go just running it again and restarting your computer when you get to that point

What's the right repo? I've done a couple restarts already to no avail. Manual install proceeded without errors but also does not seem to have worked.

Do you have any other client mods installed? If so that could also be a cause. If not, have a go following the corrupt install process and try again.

i have the same problem atm, on windows 11 tho, does anyone know how to fix it and could help me?
