Add option to dismiss expired timers with Bluetooth/headset media buttons #642

Feature idea

I would like an optional setting that allows an expired timer to be stopped/reset using the play/pause button on Bluetooth headphones or other headset media controls.

This idea came up while testing the media-related timer behavior added in #630. If I am using a timer while listening through headphones, it would be very convenient to dismiss the expired timer directly from the headset instead of having to reach for the phone.

The app already supports several optional ways to control an expired timer or alarm through hardware buttons and gestures, so I think media controls could be another useful option.

Ideally, the media button would only be handled this way while a timer is actively expired/ringing. After the timer is dismissed, the button would return to its normal media-control behavior.

I searched the open and closed issues and did not find an existing request specifically for using Bluetooth/headset media buttons to dismiss an expired timer.

I am not sure whether Android allows this to work reliably with all Bluetooth devices or media sessions, so of course the exact implementation would depend on what is technically possible.
