The more frames rendered, the slower the preparation for rendering.

I'm rendering animation from 10 cameras.
1 frame is rendered on average ~20 sec.
If you use this addon, there is a big pause between renderings.
Images (animation) are rendered 20 sec per frame, but there is a pause between the rendering. at first it's 0-1 seconds, after 100 frames it's already 20 seconds. and the more frames I render through this addon, the greater the delay.

That is, the first images are rendered 20sec+1sec, and on the hundredth image it is already 20 sec +20 sec.

Obviously, this is a bug.

@Art4DD In my current test scene (Blender 3.4) there are 10 cameras, one photoscan, 2 animated glowing objects and a 4k hdr environment map. Cycles rendering settings - from the default file Blender, the number of samples - 100. The rendering time is 10 seconds per frame.

With this test scene, I tried to reproduce the described behavior, but after 550 renders (the 55th frame of the animation), I did not notice any changes in the behavior of the application between frames.

Strictly speaking, the addon should not pause the main program (Blender) between renders. Here it is important to understand that rendering of animation with an addon is a little different than normal animation. In fact, immediately after the rendering of the previous frame is finished, the camera is changed (the frame number remains unchanged) and the standard render (not animation) is called. When the rendering of the current frame from the last camera from the scheduled ones is finished, the camera returns to the beginning of the list, but one more frame is added and the cycle repeats (until it reaches the last frame).

Since the described algorithm of the addon does not involve the creation of additional pauses, it seems to me that the matter lies more in the renderer settings of the scene you are working with.

I would recommend doing a test render with the default settings and see if it makes a difference.

In my scene, there is obviously a huge delay between renderings. Judging by the blender interface, the addon during this "delay" iterates over frames (1,2,3,4..) then returns to the frame that needs to be rendered and renders it.

Moreover, the more frames the addon has rendered, the more it starts switching frames during this strange pause.

In the console that you showed, only the render time is indicated, what the addon does between renderings is not written there. In my console, too, the render takes 20 sec, but the addon does some strange things for the next 20 sec, and only after that it renders the next frame.

My scene is 10 cameras, 60 fps, 60 frames. I will try to make a test scene with this bug. And I'll upload it here soon.

This is strange behavior, but looking at the code I can't figure out under what circumstances it is possible

I was preparing a test scene (removing everything superfluous from the problem scene), and after a few resaves, the problem with the test scene disappeared. I don't know what's the matter yet. But I can show the video and what the loading of the video card looks like in the task manager, when the problem was reproduced.

As you can see, the addon switches the camera, and then reproduces part of the timeline, then returns to the desired frame and renders it.

I still have a problematic scene, I will try to find out what the reason is when I have free time.

The bug is reproduced if there is a certain mesh in the scene (with drivers, shapecakes and rig). As soon as I delete it, rendering occurs correctly without delay.

The mesh itself is correct, there are no errors in the blender console.
I can't give you this scene, so issue can be closed.

Of course, the addon was created for a different purpose (namely, simply creating synthetic datasets to improve photogrammetry workflows), but I see no reason not to consider other workflows as well.

If I get more data about the scene, the cause can be determined. Anyway, thanks for the report!
