Locating devices in the lab

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It can be sometimes hard to find a device in the lab. People tell me:

oh this intel board, take a look at it, there is a loose cable there

but I often struggle to find the board, especially when the asset tracking is obsolete, labels are missing, or when we have multiple boards of the same type.

Describe the solution you'd like
We are working hard on improving the tracking and labeling or devices and Raspberry-Pis. But it would still be nice to have something more.

I am already working on adding small PC speaker and LED to each Raspberry-Pi to make finding the device simpler. The PC speaker would beep and LED would blink when command like dutctl -s <HOSTNAME> locate would be issued.

Smart. 💯 let me know when you have a speaker and LED attached to one Pi and what interfaces are being used - AUX and GPIO, I guess?

I have already attached LED to majority of the DUT boxes. Speaker (piezo buzzer) is harder because inaccurate specs of the speakers (often labeled as piezo, but in reality moving-iron, which has too larger power-draw).

The LED is attached to GPIO pin 23 (physical pin 16), and speaker is planned to be attached to GPIO 16 (physical pin 36). We could also attach the speaker to GPIO 12, if PWM is needed (GPIO 12 is PWM0).

Okay, so "speaker" is supposed to be a piezo? Makes sense

Yes, wanted to use 5V piezo buzzer, aka a device that when provided with power produces sound without any need for analog signal to drive it. For simplicity reasons.
