Perhaps you're using the accurate CPU speed setting? That week emulate the real CPU speed, and the boot process will be slower due to that. Try setting the CPU speed to Fastest, instead. |

Greetings everyone,
I am running the latest Amiberry (7.0.8) on my M1 Mac (ARM) using AmigaOS 3.2. For some reason, I have a very long boot delay (+20secs black screen) until the workbench desktop starts to appear. This happens regardless if I boot from either floppy or hard disk. I am very new to Amiga (and Amiberry), so I am sure something is misconfigured on my part. Using a number of online guides, I don't see any reason for the delay. I use the exact same config on my Linux desktop, and Amiberry boots the OS almost instantly.
For details, I use the standard A1200 Quickstart configuration with 4MB expansion, the floppy disk is set to TURBO speed, and I am using a 3.2 install disk (ADF) to boot the system. I can't get the system to boot any faster. Are there some hidden options I need to look at?
