"Save All" with with option to select file type (request)

With the risk of asking something that is already done....

It would be great to have the possibility to "Save all" with the option of different file type similar to "Save as", or a "Save All as" option.

Background: I use playlists with several players. iTunes cannot handle .m3u files with Ansi encoded special characters (like e-with-trema). iTunes is ok with .m3u8, which - if I understand correctly - uses UTF-8 ancoding. Hence, I would like have the option to save all my playlists (also) as .m3u8 files.

"Save as" is actually what I'm using. However, with a larger number of Ansi encoded playlists open at once it would be practical to have the 'Save all' function with the same encoding drop down list., hence the idea of "Save all as"

Of course, if there is an alternative to achieve the same...

Indeed, is .m3u8 is using UTF-8, the character which should be used to encode/decode .m3u is not clearly defined.
I had a media player (Dune HD) which decoded .m3u as UTF-8, but did not understand the .m3u8 extension. So save as m3u8 and rename to .m3u. .

@Domoberry, I am not entirely sure what you have in mind. Do you want to be able save as multiple formats at once?

As far as I know, the batch-saving mode, i.e. "Save All" , is not yet available. You could put in a feature request for developer @Borewit to consider.

I have yet to find an app that is capable of batch-converting m3u files to m3u8, etc. (If you happen to find that can do that, please post it here).

I apologize for not being clear; I wanted to keep the request brief :-)
This is the background (noob level...): I'm using on Windows (still) Windows Media Player and have a collection of .m3u playlists (I'm not using the WMP default .wpl format). Additionally, I like to upload these playlists and the related music files to my iPhone. For this I use iTunes. I import all .m3u playlists in iTunes. next I sync iTunes to my iPhone. Job done. However, I noted that not all tracks from the .m3u playlist 'arrive' on the iPhone. I noted that tracks in the (Ansi encoded) .m3u playlist containing special character (like the e in Tiësto) are ignored by iTunes when importing an .m3u. I understood that his is caused by file encoding: Ansi for WMP and UTF-8 for iTunes. I understood that an .m3u8 formatted playlist uses UTF-8. I hence have two copies of each playlist. What remains is 'bulk' conversion of my .m3u (Ansi) playlists into .m3u8 (UTF-8). Hence my suggestion to have the option to select the format with already existing 'Save all'.

@touwys I only searched for bulk encoding change tools (e.g. Ansi -> UTF-8), not for .m3u to .m3u8 format change tools. Found some like convertcp https://sourceforge.net/projects/convertcp, but I (noob...) can't get it to work in a 'bulk' mode. There are also some Powerschell scripts which could do bulk conversion, but that looked somewhat out of my comfort zone.

Yes, thank you. Off-hand, it looks like [convertcp](CONVERTCP.exe - Convert text from one code page to another - DosTips.com) is above my pay grade. Please let me know whether, or when you have it cracked.
