Feature Request : GPS / Waypoint

I have an idea. I want GPS to be more useful.
I want GPS to be able to save the location to be like a waypoint in Minecraft.

• It will help me remember new places more easily. And
• In case of getting lost, I might add a mode to record my journey every hour or minute
• It is a shortcut file, latitude, longitude, something like that.

And
1 Using the saved file, you can choose the GPS file. And
2 Tell how many meters to arrive. There might be a compass-like symbol. This way, even if we are not connected to ggmap, we will know the location we have been to.

save GPS:
1 Seve now / 2 Auto save (every hour, minute)

use gps file:
Choose the file to track (UI as shown in the picture. Sorry if my drawing is bad lol)

The GPX-File-Format would be optimal for such an application as it is also interoperable with loads of software, e.g. it could be imported to JOSM to use the waypoints for mapping items in OpenStreetMap.
In GPX a waypoint has the basic structure
