Budibase Cloud free tier is ending

Hey Everyone.

Today, we are sharing some important updates about the future of the Budibase cloud platform. We are removing our cloud free-tier and introducing a new entry-level option - the Pro plan.

Introducing the Budibase Pro Plan

We’ve heard from many of you that there was a large gap between our Free tier and our paid plans. To bridge that, we are excited to introduce the Pro Plan - an affordable, feature-rich option designed specifically for solo creators and growing projects.

For $10/month per creator and $2 per app-user, the Pro Plan unlocks:

• Powerful Features: Reusable code snippets, Synchronous Automations, and Screen Embeds.
• Higher Limits: 50,000 internal records and 1,000 automation runs.
• Unlimited Growth: Unlimited apps, data sources, plugins, and end-users.

Budibase free tier removal

To make room for these improvements, we are transitioning away from our Cloud Free tier.

• For New Signups: Starting today, all new accounts will begin with a 14-day Trial of the Premium Tier. At the end of the trial, you can choose to move to a paid plan to keep your apps running.
• For Existing Free Users: We want to ensure you have plenty of time to transition. Free tier accounts will remain active until March 13th 2026.

Your Options:

1. Upgrade to Pro: Upgrade to the new Pro Plan to keep your current workflow and gain professional features and higher usage limits.
2. Move to Open Source: If a paid plan isn't right for you, you can export your workspaces and self-host them using the Budibase Open Source version.

We are incredibly grateful to the community for building with us. These changes help us be more sustainable as a business and invest even more into the product.
