Introducing Budibase Agents (Beta)

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Budibase Agents, turning Budibase into your all-in-one AI toolkit. This allows you to build custom, intelligent assistants by connecting any LLM (including locally hosted models) to your internal data and APIs. From a new "Agents" tab in your workspace, you can define agent behavior using natural language, test them in a real-time chat preview,

You can deploy your agents:

• Into your company messaging platform: Slack, Teams, Discord.
• Directly to your users via our built-in chat interface.
• Into any Budibase app, using the Chatbox component.
• Inside an automation, via our Agent node.

Budibase Agents are fully model-agnostic, supporting any OpenAI-compatible API to ensure your mission-critical data stays within your control.

You can grant agents access to specific tables, REST endpoints, and Automations, allowing for tool-calling agent workflows with human-in-the-loop oversight.
