Filters and Sort UI Improvement

Describe your improvement idea or feature request

The current design uses “+” and “–” symbols to represent filtering and sorting order, which can be confusing for users and makes it difficult to understand how to achieve the desired ordering.

Also, requiring multiple clicks to cycle through the states (none → “+” → “–”) does not provide a user-friendly experience.

How would you like to see it implemented?

Not exactly the same, but a good reference could be the sort feature used in this popular food delivery app, which I use frequently and which offers a relatively better user experience.

Current Filters resemble the TW Cli args (+,-) so there is no need of making it complex

How are you planning to implement this sort?

It is duplicating Price sort which I think will not good considering we've multiple sorts

Are we restricting designs to follow hard rules of TW Cli, or are we free to develop an easy to use app with a self-explanatory UI/UX for mobile app users?

Also, I am not suggesting to follow that exact kind, right it will be very cluttered as we have multiple sorts, but we can implement a tabular kind of UI with columns of differents orders.

My primary concern with the current one is that it requires multiple cycles of clicks to achieve an order, which can be updated to a UI that requires a single click to sort.

Yeah, we can do space adjustments and make it collapsible to make it more efficient. This was just an idea. If you approve this kind of update, then I'll work on it; else, if we decide to keep it the way it is right now, then that's also fine.

Alternatively, we can take inspiration from @linuxcaffe’s mockups and replace the long list of sorting options with a dropdown menu combined with radio buttons.
