Provision for Floor + House Number

It's a great idea to digitize an address but most houses in India have a house number along with a certain floor number at the same latitude and longitude. Therefore, digipin alone is not really useful to provide an address.

Imagine adding upto 2 more characters and uniquely identify the floor and house-number as well and then it becomes a fully inclusive address system and there will be no more need to provide additional information.

A system could be made where floors could be 0-9 and a-z or A-Z or other characters for various floor numbers. Then house number could be similarly defined.

Great idea, but buildings often span multiple DIGIPIN grids. So it's unclear which one should carry floor details, just one grid containing the center of the building or all the grid where the building is located. If later what happens if 2 building comes in same grid (like Bangalore). Also, flat numbers aren’t standardized.

Other interesting idea would be, adding a time dimension ID alongside x, y, and z ID's could be valuable for geospatial analysis especially tracking changes over time, storing timeseries data.

I think these 2 should be done by complimentary system or a layer built on digipin.
