Is AERmon.tropdo3chm the tropospheric subset of AERmon.do3chm? (see column DQ of https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1biV1mSsAMDIWO7lGC_kYCDC-MYS0qRqi2U2KYlFynJU ).

Clarification needed.
If one variable reports the tropospheric values (only) of another variable, why not instead simply ask for the values at all levels plus the upper-most level number of the troposphere? This would substantially reduce the total storage needed. If that is unacceptable, please provide justification for retaining the current approach.
