aerosol misc. issue 7

Do AERmon.stratch4loss +AERmon.tropch4loss = AERmon.lossch4? (see column DQ of https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1biV1mSsAMDIWO7lGC_kYCDC-MYS0qRqi2U2KYlFynJU ).

Clarification neded.
If the above equation holds, it seems wasteful to include all 3. Modeling groups may wonder why not just save AERmon.lossch4 and a 2-d variable indicating the top level of the troposphere (as a function of time). This would eliminate two 3-d variables and cut storage requirements to less than half. Please provide justification.
