I remember every time I have used Celestia on Windows, the date was written like
2026 Feb 11 09:45:10
I switched to Linux and recently redownloaded Celestia on Linux only for the date to be written like:
Now when I accelerate time, I get dizzy trying to follow the date because the line length changes with each weekday.
Describe the solution you'd like
A simple button toggle to hide the weekday, rewrite the date in the above format (YYYY-MM-DD-HH-SS).
Describe alternatives you've considered
I have spent a long time looking for how to fix this both in the simulator files and online. There doesn't seem to be an easy way.
The closest thing I found was this third-party patch from 2008 but the website hosting it is not active and it wasn't saved on Archive.
