FreshClam 1.5.3 is being blocked by the ClamAV CDN on a newly provisioned AccuWeb VPS.
Environment:
- Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
- ClamAV/FreshClam 1.5.3
- VPS region: New York, USA
- Public IP: 151.247.172.53
- Only one ClamAV host is under my control on this network
- FreshClam has not been run more than once per hour
The first attempt was blocked on July 25, 2026. I waited until after the specified 24-hour cooldown and attempted one update on July 26, 2026 at 22:38:01 UTC. The CDN immediately blocked it again and imposed another cooldown.
Current diagnostic:

Connecting from an IP in a blocked region.
Database update process failed: Forbidden; Blocked by CDN.
FreshClam was forbidden from downloading a database.
Could you please investigate whether Cloudflare has incorrectly classified or blocked this VPS IP and advise how the official signature databases can be downloaded?
No ClamAV signature database currently exists, so the scanner daemon cannot be activated.
