Setup & Expected Behavior #210

First off thank you to the developer for putting in the time to make this great fork. Simplicity is important and this fork has delivered that. I have Apollo setup and it appears to work as intended, spinning up a VDD when I connect. My question is what should the expected behavior be and what the best setup is for the smoothest usage. So far I have only attempted to connect using my Steamdeck via Moonlight through the Decky Moondeck plugin. I am also using MoonDeckBuddy on my Windows host running Windows 11H2. I have the VDD set to primary making my physical monitor the secondary monitor. My questions are:
I might have a few follow-up questions but these are the biggest unknowns I have right now. Thanks again for an awesome project. Tony |

It seems that you have a messed up monitor cache. Try clear the cache using method mentioned in the FAQ Also make sure you haven't set the "Output Name" in Audio/Video config. Leave it blank works in most cases. And most importantly, don't let MoonDeck change your display config. There're options in the MoonDeck plugin, disable all resolution relay related options there. If you need to configure apps not launching on primary in order to launch on the virtual display, that means the virtual display is not actually primary. Clear the monitor cache and try again. |
