[Very Low Priority] Why abandon moonlight?

I can understand abandoning sunshine, or rather I can come to understand a hard fork for a “Mexican standoff between two stubborn people”

(or as I like to call it

when I'M one of the two stubborn people in such a situation “The double clowinsitc standoff”)

But I don't understand why abandon PR for moonlight, since moonlight and sunshine are two separate entities, in which the maintainer of sunshine made the “big number” of 2 commits

To be 200% honest I don't understand how you two got to this point over an issue and code style, although it's none of my business, I'm just a curious (almost neuro divergent) persone who is mentally bothered by hard forks without a practical basis

Because they refused it in the first place.

You can checkout some early commits of Apollo, it has a screenshot about what they said that led to this situation.

The incident happened in Moonlight's discord which resulted me to fork Sunshine. Back then I only forked Moonlight to fix some issues I had and didn't want to fork Sunshine, but after this happened then... Well I can just make them better as a whole and I don't need to care what they think, I know what I'm doing, and I know what I'll do will improve user experience greatly.

What's more, when I forked Moonlight there're already tons of useful features laying in the PR with nobody care. Artemis merged some of them and gave proper credit to them in the README.

thanks for the reply, I would love to switch to apollo/artemis (at least to try it out) but I have to wait for someone to get on the LG webos version 😅

You can still use Moonlight for WebOS to connect to Apollo at this moment.
