Describe the bug
Describe the bug
On a Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro GT with the official keyboard cover, a light
tap on the physical trackpad is sent to the host as a RIGHT click instead
of a left click. Cursor movement works normally. Physical (audible) click
correctly produces a left click.
Device
- Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro GT (TB710FU) + official keyboard cover
- Android 16
- Host: Windows + Sunshine
Artemis version
Reproduced identically on both v20.2.6 and v20.3.0-experimental.9.
Mouse mode
Local cursor mode. The Android system cursor is visible during the stream,
so pointer capture is not engaged.
What I already ruled out
- Android system settings are correct: "tap to click" is ON, and tapping
the trackpad works normally as a left click everywhere outside Artemis
(home screen, browser, system settings).
- "Bottom-right click" (right-click zone) is OFF. No change.
- Touchscreen Mode does not affect this: tried Multi touch, Absolute touch,
Track pad (Natural), Track pad (Gaming). Same behavior in all of them.
"Absolute touch (left/right click swapped)" was never selected.
- Two-finger tap right click is enabled in system settings, but the issue
occurs with a single finger tap.
Note
I could not find any existing report of this exact symptom. Known issues
(moonlight-stream#1383, moonlight-stream#1469, moonlight-stream#1493) describe taps being IGNORED, not being mapped to the
wrong button. This appears to be a different bug.
This is on Android 16, which is newer than the devices in the existing
reports (moonlight-stream#1383 was Android 14, moonlight-stream#1469 was Android 15). The input handling
may have changed again in Android 16.
Steps to reproduce
- Attach the official Lenovo keyboard cover to the tablet
- Make sure "tap to click" is enabled in Android system settings
(Settings > Pen and keyboard > Physical keyboard > Touchpad)
- Verify a light tap on the trackpad works as a LEFT click in the
Android system UI (home screen, browser) - it does
- Start a stream in Artemis
- Switch mouse mode to "local cursor" (the Android cursor stays visible)
- Lightly tap the trackpad
- Observe: the host receives a RIGHT click instead of a left click
- Press the trackpad down physically (audible click)
- Observe: the host correctly receives a LEFT click
