He suggested that the -i ending of this form could be the result of a language contact with the Etruscan, specifically a number of forms in -i have been interpreted as Etruscan feminine forms. In several cases this is plausible but according to <tei:ref target="https://www.zotero.org/groups/2552746/items/84FQ2UI4"><tei:bibl>Bakkum 2009</tei:bibl></tei:ref> this could not be the case</tei:p>
