equipment, and sometimes people through terrain that has no road access.
Without them, the territory does not function.
Today, all arriero bookings for the entire territory are managed through
a single email address. There is no system to check availability, coordinate
loads, manage schedules, or integrate arriero capacity with visitor flow.
Arrieros are not a logistics provider. They are the living connection
between the valley and its history. Any solution must support their work
without replacing their role or disrupting the culture they represent.
What we are looking for
- Simple booking system accessible to users with limited technology experience
- Availability and capacity management for multiple arrieros
- Integration with valley campsite reservation system
- Offline-first design — no mobile coverage in most of the territory
- Experience designing technology for traditional or indigenous communities
