Contributor Code of Conduct

Quick Reference

  • Be respectful: Treat everyone with kindness, empathy, and inclusivity.
  • No harassment: Violence, threats, sexual content, trolling, or doxxing are strictly prohibited.
  • Report issues: If you see something wrong, report anonymously to wayne6324@gmail.com.
  • Consequences: Violations may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans.
  • Maintain confidentiality: Reporters’ identities are protected.
  • Project leadership enforces: Maintainers may remove or reject contributions that violate this Code.

Our Pledge

We as members, contributors, and leaders pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment include:

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language
  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward others
  • Being respectful of differing opinions and experiences
  • Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
  • Attempting collaboration before conflict
  • Accepting responsibility and apologizing for mistakes
  • Focusing on the overall well-being of the community

Unacceptable behavior includes:

  • Violence, threats of violence, or self-harm encouragement
  • Sexualized language, imagery, or attention of any kind
  • Trolling, misinformation, personal attacks, or harassment
  • Publishing others' private information without permission
  • Abuse of the reporting process to target others
  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior
  • Any other conduct that could be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Our Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying acceptable behavior and taking fair corrective action when standards are violated. They may remove, edit, or reject contributions that violate this Code of Conduct or ban contributors when necessary.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies both within project spaces and in public spaces when representing the project. Representation includes using official project email addresses, social media accounts, or acting as a project representative at online or offline events.

Enforcement

Incidents of unacceptable behavior may be reported anonymously at wayne6324@gmail.com. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated, and responses will be appropriate to the circumstances. Reporter confidentiality will be maintained.

Project maintainers who fail to enforce the Code of Conduct in good faith may face temporary or permanent repercussions from the project's leadership.

If you are unsure whether an incident is a violation, we encourage you to report it. Reports help improve our Code of Conduct and community processes.

Enforcement Guidelines

Project maintainers will follow these guidelines when determining consequences:

1. Correction

Community Impact: Minor unprofessional or unwelcome behavior
Consequence: Private written warning with clarity on the violation; public apology may be requested.

2. Warning

Community Impact: Single or repeated violation
Consequence: Warning with restricted interactions with those involved or enforcing the Code; may lead to temporary or permanent ban if violated.

3. Temporary Ban

Community Impact: Serious or sustained violation
Consequence: Temporary ban from community interactions; no contact with involved parties or enforcers. Violation may lead to permanent ban.

4. Permanent Ban

Community Impact: Pattern of violations, harassment, or aggression
Consequence: Permanent ban from all public community interactions.
