What problem does this solve?
With the new airport display styles, the airport short code currently scrolls together with the additional airport info (eg municipality). If you miss the beginning of a flight scene, you might initially see the end of each airport name which might be a bit cryptic (see attached example). Best case then, you wait for the name to scroll back to a more recognisable part of the name. Worst case (with longer airport names), the flight scene ends before scrolling back.
What would you like to see?
It would be nice if the airport shortcode (and the arrow after it) did not scroll with the rest of the airport name (see attached sketch). That way, users always get to see the airport short codes and the additional airport info just adds more info. I haven't had the time to look into how to do this so in the meantime I thought I'd just add it to the list.
