Expected Behavior
All datasets contained in an uploaded multi-dataset NMR analysis bundle should be recognized and listed simultaneously in NMRium.
Current Behavior
Only one dataset — the first/top one in the bundle — is recognized and rendered in NMRium. Deleting that dataset reveals the next one, which then becomes the only one recognized. This happens one dataset at a time; NMRium never simultaneously recognizes all datasets in the bundle.
Failure Information
Steps to Reproduce
- Upload a multi-dataset NMR bundle exported from Bruker TopSpin (bundle contains multiple experiment datasets) via the Chemotion web interface, attached to a sample.
- Set the analysis type to NMR.
- Open the analysis in NMRium.
- Observe: only the first dataset in the bundle is listed/recognized.
- Delete the recognized dataset.
- Observe: NMRium now shows the next dataset in the bundle — but again only one at a time.
Tested with three multi-dataset TopSpin bundles (exam1d_1, exam_CMCse_1, exam_CMCse_2); all three reproduce the same symptom.
Context
Reproduced across multiple instances and versions:
| Instance |
Version |
current_revision |
Result |
| chemotion.ibcs.kit.edu (official production) |
v3.1.2 |
293a15c |
Bug reproduces — only top dataset recognized |
Local dev (docker-compose, official ptrxyz/chemotion:*-3.0.0 images) |
v3.0.0 |
— |
Bug reproduces — same symptom |
| Local dev |
v2.2.0 |
491f4af |
Works correctly — all datasets recognized |
This places the regression window between v2.2.0 and v3.0.0.
Not yet bisected between these two specifically.
- OS: Ubuntu 24
- Browser: Helium (Chrome based
)
- ELN version: v3.1.2 (current_revision 293a15c) / v3.0.0, both reproduce; v2.2.0 does not
