I have an issue with the current subgraph marker, not because of how it looks, but because it takes up unnecessary space outside of the node (top-right). I can't take a screenshot of the current subgraph marker but I drew what it looks like. When you pack a subgraph node close to other nodes, this marker can lay on top of widgets, and block your view.
The previous group-node marker was an elegant design that integrated seamlessly and didn't add any visual clutter. It replaced the grey dot with a 9-dot-grid, like so:
Can we agree that the old one was superior? Am I crazy? Any new ideas?
I added that choice (it removed the votes so vote again if you already did).
The badge is positioned similar to the node ID badge (which can be toggled off from the settings). If subgraph badges could also be toggled off, I wouldn't mind. This may seem selfish coming from someone who likes bento-box workflows, but there are dozens of us.
