syslog-ng and rsyslog failed and conflict on debian 12 #11620

Description of problem:

With the profile : xccdf_org.ssgproject.content_profile_anssi_np_nt28_high on a Debian12 i have two rules failed :

  • Ensure syslog-ng is Installed
  • Enable syslog-ng Service

So i installed syslog-ng and enabled it, but after a new run of the audit oscap said this for rules failed :

  • Ensure syslog-ng is Installed
  • Enable syslog-ng Service
  • Ensure rsyslog is Installed
  • Enable rsyslog Service

Steps to Reproduce:

The command used :

 sudo oscap xccdf eval --fetch-remote-resources  --profile xccdf_org.ssgproject.content_profile_anssi_np_nt28_high --report report.html /opt/openscap-content/ssg-debian12-ds.xml

Actual Results:

  • Ensure syslog-ng is Installed
  • Enable syslog-ng Service
  • Ensure rsyslog is Installed
  • Enable rsyslog Service

Expected Results:

  • no failed
