List of potential useful ancillary functions

Introducing some ancillary functions such as one to read .tif rasters directly might make it easier to read input maps, since GeoTiff raster are much more common than .asc files. Here I propose we create a list of potential functions to be checked and possibly added to ConScape or an ancillary ConScapeTools library - to avoid dependencies in the core ConScape code.
