<p>
The CoreSense General Meeting takes place at the
<strong>Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), Campus de Aranjuez</strong>.
Aranjuez is a UNESCO World Heritage Royal City located 47 km south
of Madrid, in a natural setting at the confluence of the Tagus and
Jarama rivers.

Aranjuez is well-served by Madrid's <strong>Cercanías</strong> (suburban rail)
network. The <strong>C-3</strong> line runs directly from central Madrid to
Aranjuez station.

<p><strong>On foot:</strong> ~20 min (1.7 km) heading north-west</p>
<p><strong>Bus:</strong> Local line <em>L2</em> (check local timetable)</p>

Aranjuez is easily reached from Madrid via the <strong>A-4 motorway (E-5)</strong>.
Take exit <strong>37 – Aranjuez</strong> and follow signs to the city centre.
The campus is on the northern side of the city.

<strong>Parking:</strong> Free parking is available on campus.

The nearest airport is <strong>Madrid Barajas (MAD)</strong>.
From the airport, take the Metro to <em>Nuevos Ministerios</em> or
<em>Atocha</em>, then connect to the C-3 Cercanías line to Aranjuez.
Total journey time from airport: ~90 min.

Alternatively, take a taxi or rideshare from the airport to Aranjuez
(approximately 45 min, ~€45–55).

<h2>Social Activity – Palacio Real de Aranjuez</h2>
<p>
On the afternoon of <strong>Day 1</strong>, we will enjoy a guided visit to the
<strong>Palacio Real de Aranjuez</strong> and its famous gardens, one of the most
impressive Royal Palaces in Spain and part of the
<em>Aranjuez Cultural Landscape</em> UNESCO World Heritage Site (inscribed 2001).
</p>>
<p>
The palace, built in the 18th century, served as the spring residence of the
Spanish monarchs and contains state rooms, the Porcelain Room, and a stunning
collection of art and furniture. The surrounding <em>Jardín del Príncipe</em>
and <em>Jardín de la Isla</em> extend along the banks of the Tagus river.

<p>Spain uses the Euro (€). Credit cards are widely accepted. ATMs are available in the city centre.</p>

<p>Aranjuez enjoys a semi-arid continental climate. Expect mild to warm temperatures. Check the forecast before travelling: the Tagus valley can be windy.</p>

<p>Spanish (Castilian) is the local language. English is not widely spoken outside the university campus. A few basic phrases in Spanish will be appreciated.</p>
