Game's framerate is stuck at half of my headset's refresh rate almost all of the time.

I tried it on oculus link with steamvr and ALVR with steamvr and the issue was the exact same. My headset it a Quest 1, a 72hz display and whenever the game runs at less than 72hz (often.), it immediately caps itself at 36 fps which makes it really unpleasant.
Any way i could fix this? i checked my FPS++ settings and they're at 144fps.

My pc specs is:
Windows 10 (latest version)
Ryzen 7 5700X
RX 7700 XT
16gb DDR4

I think I have the same issue on my Rift S which runs at 80hz, going under 40 FPS like when there is a lot of grass or landscape showing makes it stuck there for a while, sometimes until enter a shrine for example. I think earlier versions were less likely to do that. I'm on a 3070 Ti. I think it may be because we use older headsets, people seem not to experience these issues on Quest 3. I think the issue for Rift S users is also that they are forced to use the Meta Link software, which the developper of this does not recommend.

Tested with asynchronous spacewarp disabled and with the latest update and this issue is still present.

Yes, same for me, ASW set to disabled, same issue, which seems to be constant now, which makes the latest version unplayable, sadly.
