So with this, I'm pondering using an existing system that's Debian 13 running docker and hosting my Frigate install. It's got a beefy GPU that's mostly idle so good candidate for that.
Question, will the install script detect the running Docker instance and just deploy a new service, leaving my Frigate alone?

Correct, I see no reason why it would give you any trouble! All Nomad containers are scoped under a Docker Compose project and with a "nomad_" prefix to avoid our internal container management code messing with any containers that weren't created by Nomad itself.

*Edit: and yes, the install script will detect if Docker is already installed on the host

Perfect! I've seen some bad installers that want to own the entire docker instance so wanted to verify.

Any plans to create this as a complete Docker Stack? I hate having everything in a container except the man app.

Now for the ultimate prepped survival tech, how about private messaging and signals stack added? Like ability to add USB antenna software to listen in on emergency services and other communications stuff and private peer to peer messaging within local network? Great stuff btw

I second that Meshtastic and SDR should be integrated. There are open source solution solutions for SDR, but I have yet to find a good Meshtastic solution to send and read from a computer, and especially to be able to do this through browser.

Unfortunately I don't know any Docker or Typescript though.

Guys i am new to Project Nomad and I am new to Lunix. I was going through tutorial on how to install project Nomad and I am stuck. Can someone please help me. I did exactly whats on https://github.com/Crosstalk-Solutions/project-nomad. When I run the first command to install project it does not work. Here is what I get in Ubuntu Terminal (see below). i have no idea what any of that means. Can someone tell me what I need to do. Thank you!

@TylerDurden828 are you running on an Ubuntu Live CD/USB or still have the installation media connected to your computer? These logs are from Ubuntu trying to update (we trigger that in the install script) and it's trying to pull from a "CD-ROM" repository (that doesn't exist). If you are on a Live CD/USB, I would strongly discourage you from installing NOMAD on it. You probably could make it work, but it will likely cause lots of headaches and performance is going to be very poor.

All I did is pasted this into the terminal

I guess I might just have to re-install ubuntu and start over. I have no idea where the CD thing came from I dont have a cd rom drive or CD's
