Extract the game files from redump iso and back them up. Load the game with cxbx, play for a while and compare with the backup files.You will find that unspecified files in the game directory are continuously deleted, causing the game to become corrupted.

I only have this game, I don't know if the same thing happens with other games.

This is likely caused by the fact that cxbxr doesn't enforce the read-only protection on the game folder that acts as the dvd drive path. So, if a delete operation is requested on the files there, cxbxr will happily do it.
