Installation issue of dampack in some Macs

Several people here at the course in Chile encountered the following error while installing dampack in their Macs:

Execution halted
Error in i.p(...) :
(converted from warning) installation of package '/var/folders/2w/vbq08tb52h31r3xfs3pc1z700000gn/T//RtmpEYjmht/file2b745a0625c/dampack_0.1.0.tar.gz' had non-zero exit status

Do you know what could cause this issue? And how to get around it?
