Update Holdings Table to Include Annualized Returns #147
Description
Need to add a column beside 'Total Return (%)" that is the Annualized Return since purchase. You will need to calculate how many days we have held each stock for active/open positions (just do date-purchased from transactions.csv to now), and for closed positions you will have to do date-purchased to date sold rather than today. The edge cases would be where we bought or sold a ticker multiple times, in which case I would say just use the first date of purchase.
Remember you can just use the Total Return because it already includes dividends/unrealized/realized gains so you don't have to recalculate these things, you should only need to do the date stuff for the exponent. See below for calculation:
