spiceinit command error: The server sent an unrecognized response

When attempting to initialize SPICE data for an image file using the following command:
spiceinit from=M1472410644LE.raw.cub spksmithed=true web=True

I receive the following error message:
ERROR The server sent an unrecognized response.

According to #5450, I changed my command to
"spiceinit from=M1472410644LE.raw.cub spksmithed=true web=True url=https://astrogeology.usgs.gov/apis/ale/v0.9.1/spiceserver/".
It worked in 2024, but right now the same error happens, "ERROR The server sent an unrecognized response."

We have routed the old URL to the new one since then, so it should work. This may be because access to the service was disabled during the US government shutdown. As of today, it is working as expected. Try it again. If it still fails, we can troubleshoot.
