Can't open application

Describe the bug
Can't open the application, goes to white screen.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start application via desktop shortcut

Expected behavior
The application to start up and be functional.

The update dialogue prompts to update from github. I have confirmed I am not on the USGS vpn. The application script does not appear to be present in the directory that the application is looking for.

The application shortcut target lists:

C:\Users\annamahe\MetadataWizard\pymdwizard\pythonw.exe ..\fort-pymdwizard\pymdwizard\MetadataWizard.py

I tried manually calling python from the MetaDataWizard directory and running the MetaDataWizard.py script in command prompt.

Hi @amaher3942,

Here's what I recommend trying first - if this doesn't work, please let me know and we can troubleshoot further.

If the Metadata Wizard icon shows up in the taskbar, but the program doesn’t open, it could be opening somewhere where it’s not visible (offscreen), because your computer thinks there’s another monitor or the sizing isn’t correct.

Possible Fix: right-click + shift the program icon in the taskbar > select Move.

Your mouse cursor will now jump to wherever the program is (somewhere off screen). While holding down the left mouse button, move the mouse around until the program comes into the display. You can also try maximizing the window so that you can see it on your main screen, then resizing the window.
