change in sfrdata.to_riv() method?

We are using sfrdata.to_riv(line_ids = []) to specify a set of RIV cells in a mf6 model. With the latest version of sfrmaker, the returned rivdata object has an empty dataframe for stress_period_data - was there a change in to_riv()? We are passing the rivdata object to modflow-setup to make the RIV package and ending up with just the header information in the riv file, so specifics on the cells.
