Threads is sliding in to place, now I think what's left is to either extend it for private messages, or come up with something akin.
This feature can likely mimic the current pgboard messaging pretty much verbatim in that you can:
- Send a message to more than one person
- Delete a message (unsure about if this should delete it for the other person, might want to have them stick around)
- See a count of messages that you currently have (unread, etc...)
Something to think about is previously messages were not encrypted by any means, and given these are private conversations it might be nice to do something like that with them. If it's overly burdensome we could file another ticket for that though. I personally do not like the idea of private conversations being hacked and easily looked at. We don't need to build signal but maybe something?
