I tried a bunch of listeners, but nothing worked.

How is it possible to create your own html block and translate subtitles into it?

I dont understand what you want to do. It sounds a bit like you want to render the subtitles yourself, there is an example here: https://reference.dashif.org/dash.js/nightly/samples/captioning/events.html

After the subtitles have been turned off, the cueExit subscription continues to be active.

It doesn't help how to properly enable and disable subtitles so that the cueExit event is inactive if subtitles are turned off...?
