running this on macos

Hi,
I found this launcher as interesting workaround for linux but I am wondering if it could be used on macos.

There are some differences but those could be overcome with some changes - like alias xdg-open = open

Adding python tk and yq through brew.

But there is problem when launcher is searching for wine and would not use crossover instead - is there way for this without rewriting app?

The new implementation of DeckCheatz will be more abstract in its approach, but I don't own a Mac. I wouldn't be able to test it, and I'm not even sure if Proton works on macOS.

Right, sure. wemod-launcher/wand-launcher will soon be deprecated in favour of DeckCheatz, which has a different approach.

Until I get a Mac, I won't be able to devote development resources to this. I would need to be able to test the implementation on macOS myself.

@aegispotae you may be able to link crosover to wine.
And set some enviroment vars.
Try to follow the quck guide a close a possible on mac.
I think proton ge may just work on mac over steam.

Not fully shure but alternatively you could try to set envs manualy.

There a manual setup is described.
You run the game manually you can then use:
WINEPREFIX=$YOUR-WINE-PREFIX-FOLDER-HERE WINE=$(whereis wine | awk '{print $2}') /home/$USER/Apps/Games/wemod-launcher/wemod $(whereis wine | awk '{print $2}') /home/$USER/Apps/Games/wemod-launcher/wemod.bat $PATHTOGAME

you will have to replace a few things in this command then you may get it to work you can try it and see what happens

There's still a few things that are Linux-specific, and I think we're best putting this on the backburner for the moment, maybe?

If it works great but if not well that just that.
