Impact on disabling Reposity Meta Analyzers (like Maven, NPM, etc.)

I having some timeout issues with the Repository Meta Analyzer, more specifically with Maven and my question is: What is the real impact of disabling this repositories or this task altogether? Will this prevent me from detecting a vulnerability on my enviroment or some other impact like that?

The meta analyzers are responsible for determining the latest version and publish timestamps of components. If you don't need this information, you can safely disable them.
