UPXO – Commercial Licensing and External Use
UPXO is released under the GNU General Public License version 3.0 (GPL-3.0) for open scientific and academic use.
The intellectual property rights in UPXO are owned by the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA).
Any commercial use, proprietary integration, redistribution without source disclosure, or industrial deployment outside the terms of GPL-3.0 requires formal licensing approval from UKAEA.
Enquiries regarding commercial licensing, industrial partnerships, or external deployment should be directed to the appropriate UKAEA technology transfer or IP office.
The technical stewardship of UPXO is led by:

- Dr. Chris Hardie (Principal Advisor and Project Sponsor)
All commercial pathways remain subject to UKAEA governance.
