Container not starting after adding port mapping

This sounds like the simplest thing to do and I'm certain it must be something wrong on my side because I can't imagine this not working and no one reporting it.

Whenever I try to map a container port to host port (I verified there is no conflict), the container just doesn't start after hitting Deploy or Reload (shows container Exited when I go to see logs).

Any idea? I'm going crazy.
