network/scan request in box page?

Looking through the wifibox logs when connecting a WiFi-Box to a WiFi network I notice that there are network/scan API requests coming in, while connect.doodle3d.com is on the #box page.
Maybe we don't properly stop the intervals that requests a fresh networks list?

After refreshing that page the WiFi-Box only receives network/alive requests.
