I'm surprised nobody has asked for this.

Common error conditions:

• 404 / other http errors. Should report the content and the code.
• App is offline error.
• App transport security error.

How about we start with finding some way to stringify whatever SDWebImage or Glide fails with and we pass it back as nativeError on onError. That could be a good starting point.

Yeah I think having a consistent error handling API for the most common cases would be ideal. Just as a first step and to catch any edge cases what I said above might be useful.

I've just run into 404 error. Fast image component renders blank area as I have no way to catch the error in render. Would be cool to have a better error handling 😄

How do I detect errors? OnError doesn't call? It seems to retry infinitely and only call onStart?

onError is fired for me but doesn't provide any information about the error, so we can recover but not log any reason to help us debug the issue.
